Default stereo and nav system

car 06 z roadster

1st. I would like to be able to play a dvd movie and have it show on the nav screen. Is this possible.

2. I want to replace the speakers because the bose system is really noisy. I want crisp clean highs and rich deep base. Not just noise.

I dont want to change the head unit because of the steering wheel controls etc. I just want to change the speakers. Can I put a better sub in and not hae to amp it up or do i need to add an amp.

What brand of speakers sound good?

Finally is this somthing a guy can do himself or should i take it to a pro to do?

Thanks for all your help.

i would suggest you change the audio system completely with new HU unit. Kenwood 8017. Replace all 4 speakers, Sub. Bring it to an audio shop. Focal or JL audio is good. How much are you willing to spend? Prepare to spend around $2K for your new audio system.

Replacing the whole unit is not an option. I bought the car for my wife and she says absolutly not. I do get to play in the car a little and figured atleist I should be able to here half way decent sound.

1. What brand of speakers would do best.
2. Do I have to amp a new comp woofer going into the original place or can I just hook it up?

3. Anyway to get movies to play through the nav system?

Again, thanks for all of your advice and help.

why dont you get a digital sound processor with 30 channel equalizers?
the jl audio "CLEANSWEEP" will wake up the bose system and it will ony cost you $360 plus $300 for installation. find it on the jl audio website.
