Default Fogged headlight assembly

My 04 ZR has a slight fog in the lens of the headlight assembly. is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, are the dealers replacing the assembly?

Most of the newer nissans/infiniti's seem to do it, its actualy on the outside of the lens, have to get some plastic cleaner to get rid of it..

I have similar problems with one of my headlights and both of my taillights. But for me it is a definite broken seal as you can visibly see condensation inside the lights after I wash it.
I spoke to a Nissan dealer and he said they would replace it under warranty, but I figure to replace my '04 taillights with the '06 versions.

If ur ZR is under factory warranty which is 3 yrs or 36,000 miles, then the dealers must replace ur headlamp assemblies. If u are over the factory warranty, only some extented warranties will cover the headlight assemblies.

My old 04' ZR did the same thing, the polycarbonate plastic is very sensitive to UV rays i guess, The Motul wax n Wax worked wonders with some microfiber towels. 3M plastic polish works good too but you cant use it alot because they takes a layer of plastic off each time you use it.

I used the Mcguires and there is definitely some on the inside. I will check with the dealer, but where can I get access to the FSB's?

Had the same problem with both front headlights where I can see a very faint mist developing on the plastic. Even though it is hardly noticable, I took it to the dealer and they ruled out that it was a fault or a warranty issue as they always do. I disagreed but they make it so hard for you to prove them wrong over here (in Australia). They won't even acknowledge the tyre feathering issue (or at least agree to fix it under warranty) which I think is very poor on their part. I don't have any broken seals and its definately not condensation. Have tried using a plastic cleaner to remove the mist without any luck.

Repeat, repeat, repeat with meguiars plastic polish. I had to go over it probably 10-12 times and the headlights look new

The dealer should replace it for you under the warranty. Plastic polish won't do anything for you if it's fogging on the inside. You have a leak in the seal or around one of the bulbs. The headlight will have to come out of the car to be fixed. Nissan won't fix it since it's sealed at the factory and to get them apart you will need to bake it in an oven or use a heat gun. I've always used the oven because it's more even heat and the clear plastic seperates easier from the back.
