Default roadster headaches

hey guys, i just need to vent a little. i have had my roadster for about 7 months and i have had 2 flat tires (most likely deliberate), someone bumped my rear with their truck at a light, and a key job on the side of my car. all this in 7 months! i have never had this many issues with 1 car in my life. my car is ultra yellow..i take it that it is a huge target for everyone. i just wish everyone would respect each other's cars.

as for my flat tires, i didnt randomly run over a nail on the road. i backed up out of my parking spot and my tire went flat. it was fine when i cranked up. i warmed up the car and the tps didnt go off so i knew i was not flat. so i drive away and within 10 feet of backing up, i go flat. they found a nail in my tire. 3 months later, the same thing happens again. another nail!! my apartment complex has no building going on and this just cant be a coincidence. not to mention, someone decided to key my car because they are jealous. that just topped it off. i am so close to just trading out and getting something else. i cant even take my ZR anywhere anymore.

Leaving aside the bump to the rear which sounds like an unfortunate accident, the rest sounds like you might have acquired an enemy just because you drive a nice car. You have to park in the open, right? No garage or secured spots?
Maybe a change in parking assignment and a good car cover might help. Trading out seems so extreme and, besides, if you traded for another nice car, the problem might continue. How happy are you with your current apartment? Personally, I'd rather relocate than give up my ZR.

I lived up in Puyallup for 2 years, could'nt take the rain anymore so I came back to Southern Cali

You live up in Good Ol' Boy Country, odds are its some redneck kids who hate anything unless its an American truck.. that would probably explain the keying, unless maybe you been cutting people off and someone followed you home <shrug>

As for the nails in the tires, I think its just a run of bad luck, I've had 3 flat tires from nails within a month once, it was pissin me off bad, you get these idiots who are construction workers or A.C. guys who carelessly drop there nails or screws on the road, usually it happens because they have the nails in there work belts and walk across the street and they bounce out...

Hopefully your bad luck will be over and nothing else will happen for a long time.... Curious tho, why buy a Roadster where it rains like 10 months out of the year???

I think I saw you in Seattle last weekend, or the weekend before in Pioneer Square. I was just about to walk into Central Saloon with my buddy Andrew and he goes, "Hey, it's your buddy." and pointed. I said, "Yeah, he's gotta be, because he's got great taste." If you're in the area often, we should meet up sometime and hit a club/bar/etc.

As for your misfortunes, I was in Seattle /again/ (leaving Crocodile Cafe) and saw somebody who had parallel parked hit the cars in front of and behind FOUR TIMES EACH to get out of the parking space in her big *** beat up truck. I'll NEVER park on the street. Yeah, $10 to park for the night sucks, but I'm much more comfortable w/ the ZR in a garage than on the street.

when i read things like this it just bumms me . I worked for a union steel mine and drove a dodge colt and 2 sentras they were the only thing that would hold up to the up to 50 below -100 wind chill and 100 miles a day and not good roads and get me 30 mpg. back to the story some of the rednecks that would park next to me would slam their doors into my cars . I finaly got pissed and when i saw a new ding i would just kick their door with my steel toe boot. not that it fixed mine but felt better . I tried american economy cars before i went jap route and they would just fall apart within 3 yrs and 60K this was in the late 70s and 80s just to understand where i'm comming from
with that said i think intsead of dumping the car spend a few $ and get a motion actvated cam corder and find out who is doing this crap to ya

yeah im considering trading because i need to upgrade to an suv/truck. i have a family in work and i dont think i can fit a wife and 2 kids in the seat lol! i really want to keep this car and it seems like all of this is happening at the same time.

as for driving my roadster in the rain all the time...they knocked off a big chunk of cash to sell it to me. it was a leftover 05 in the middle of spring 2006 so i took it. this is my 3rd convertible car so i am used to it.

i have not been up in seattle in a couple of months with my roadster. the easiest way to tell if it is me is by my wheels. i have black ADR M-Classic wheels. someone else is running around town in a yellow coupe in seattle. i havent caught up with him yet. one of these days, ill cruise back into town with my Z.

i took my Z to the shop a couple days ago. the shop told me someone knifed my paint instead of keying it. it is going to run me $460 and they include a warranty and 100% paint match. they will even take out a couple of extra paint dinks i did on accident. nice to know it wont cost me an arm and a leg to fix. the mark was like 4 inches long. they said nissan paint is the easiest to match and ill have my car back thursday afternoon or friday. 2-3 day turn around. at least i feel a bit better now after all this.
