Wink Extended Warrantees

I need to purchase an extended warranttee for my Z. Which insurers offer the best bang for the buck and if you could provide a link, I'd be very grateful!

Thumbs up Found One!

I was able to get an extended warrantee for 7yr/100k (bumper-to-bumper/transferable) for $1700 and there is no "co-pay" per visit and the warrantee starts from the date of the purchase, not the date the car was placed into service in 2004. I called another company, Continental warratee , and they acted like a used car saleman You know, high-pressured sales attitude, "...buy it now because we can't offer this "fantastic" deal again" . Idiots, they wanted $2,100 for 5yr/100K and every visit for warrantee work was going to cost me $100 out of pocket! They tried to get me to believe that because I rolled it into my loan that I really didn't get a good policy (interest on the amout amortized over the life of the loan) but I figured that if I made 4 visits @ $100ea plus $400 more for a lesser policy...that'd more than exceed any interest I'd pay on the current policy I just purchased. Also, I'd have plenty of life left on the warrantee to help me re-sale or trade-in the car at a later date down the road. By the way, Kudos and thanks to those that recommended that I seek out the extended warrantee, great idea and peace of mind!

My wife and I are picking the car Sat AM in Pasadena and headin' down the coast of SoCal and onto Baja for a couple of nights (late VD celebration!) . We'll power out and make the drive back to Tucson on Tuesday. All-in-all it should be a fun trip.

Later Gang

rTong: I got it thru my Credit Union but I'll let you know exactly once I get the policy in hand. I'll be back in town on Tuesday.
