Default 2007 with Satellite Radio

The 2007 Coupes come pre-wired for Satellite radio, but the roadster is left out. My wife's 2004 roadster is coming off lease and she would like the 2007. She has Sirius in her 2004 done after market.

What I want to know is if the Bose head unit in the roadster is compatible with satellite radio. I can't imagine that they made two different head units for the coupe and roadster.

I don't have a problem with wiring the satellite radio, what I'm concerned about is whether or not my wife will still be able to use the steering wheel controls to control the satellite radio. Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks

I'm very curious too. I tried to order an AUX adapter (which connects to sat inputs) and the parts guy said it was available for all models EXCEPT for 350Z! Makes me wonder what they changed in 2007 on the Bose unit.

Actually the 2006 roadster Bose is not compatible either. Seems they put different radios in the roadsters and the coupes. I'm swapping out my 2006 soon as all the parts come in. After a year of trying to find something to simply add XM to my system.

This really pisses me off and I don't understand the reasoning behind it. I also just found out that the roadsters don't have Bluetooth.

Just to add to the disappointment.....the 2007 350z lacks the Tire pressure status within the digital display on the dashboard. So, this was removed for 2007. Otherwise, I have the 2007 and truly love the car. A few steps forward and a few steps back.

IT still monitor's the tire pressure. It just doesnt have the digital read out. It instead has a icon by the CEL light area.

Do your steering wheel controls still work? I'm not familiar with MiFi, is that XM or Serius?

The MiFi is a portable XM, it actually operates independent using station FM 88.1 but broadcasts through the Z's speakers. It works great

Default DLO TransDock Micro car FM transmitter

I'm having really good luck with the DLO TransDock Micro car FM transmitter. Yeah, I know it isn't the quality of direct input, but since I mostly listen to podcasts (and have poor hearing ;-) I don't mind. I've tried several other models usually with poor results. Also, you should know I live in LA where the FM band is very crowded. I blogged it at offbe.at
