Question Window Issue

Can some one explain to me why when my top is up and i go to put my windows up from being down the driver window goes all the way up and then returns to the half way up position.

All I do is pull them back let the auto feature take over and this happens. If I hope the window button up till it closes it stays.

I'm getting ready to get the windows tinted and I don't wnat my windows moving for reasons I don't understand. Any help would be welcomed.

TIA

L

NOt sure if it is a feature of the car of not. My mother has a 2004 and my brother has a 2003 so was wondering if it was something in the 2006 model.

Service Bulletin... Your motors need to be reset.

I tried posting the link, but it will not appear.

just wondering...did you mess around with the window motor or did the problem just started on its own?

I noticed it abvout a week after I got the car. I had only used the windows once or twice cause the weather was bad and I could not put the top down.

I did take it to the nissan dealership this past weekend. They owed me a second key and while i was there they rest my window motor. Have not seen the issue since. Thanks for the help everyone.

Default Same Issue

Had the same thing happen to me after Safelite replaced my passenger window from a break-in. Although it's strange I've heard this happens on other vehicles so I'm not too worried.

It seems that I just need to reset the window motor. I spoke to their warranty guys and they'll come out next Tuesday to do the reset.

Maybe I can figure out how to end this well known "streak" on my glass at the same time...gotta look into how to do that.
