Dropping top while moving?
Yeah there were a few of us that thought about this a while ago and decided it was more trouble than it was worth. You have to figure out how to bypass the speed sensors.

I thought about this when I first got my ZR, and was thinking you could replace the manual latch with a solenoid that triggered off of the same relay as the window relay from the fob pressing. I didn't do any looking into it besides thinking about it, though.

soleniod idea sounds great. but a compromise of the full seal between top and windshield? remote access drop top would be cool then, but when rain comes in, you'll be short. tamper at your own risk. dropping/closing the top while in motion strains motors and also bends the metal hinges, depending on speed. ahhh soo many ideas. that's why i don't mod my Z. keeps value up.

The Z top construction is certainly too weak to openend/ close it at speed higher than 15 kms.

Sometimes you are half way at the traffic light and you might have a bit less than 20 sec, you can still operate the roof while you can slowly start moving the car, at least you are not blocking the traffic behind you.
I won't suggest you operate the roof when you are driving at 10km/h or faster, it is absolute idiotic.
But to enable the roof operation while slow driving is a good idea.
Hi Alcheng,
Thats exactly the reason for I modified my 350Z, probaly different from the always sunny area in, here in the Northern part of Europe the weather is not stable, within few minutes it can change from sunny to rainfall. While in a slow moving traffic jam I'am able to close or open the roof without disturbing the traffic behind me.
For practical reasons only and certainly don't need remote controlled operation.

The weather in your city is exactly like what I have in here, Toronto, Canada.
And whenever it happens like that and I have to put the top up, I feel sucks!!!
