Anyone try a luggage rack on the trunk of a roadster like the old MGB.

OK! OK! so no one makes a rack that looks good on the car.
I'll just have to have her pack light. I thought a nice leather bag belted onto a nice rack for a long trip would look ok.

Nah. Look for the luggage set that was made for the Z. I think Courtesy Nissan sells it. It's a 4-piece set that will use every inch of the trunk. You should be able to pack a lot of stuff in there.

I bought a 3 piece luggage set made specifically for Z Roadsters on ebay. Brand name is Roadster. The set really helps you maximize your trunk space.

I got rid of the spare and cut a piece of carpet out to cover where it was and where the original carpet went. My trunk is huge and looks good. I got a compressor, tire plug kit, and a can of fix-a-flat as a final back up at pep boys for ~$25. They're in a case that is velcro strapped through the holes at the back of the comparatment.

Unlike many, I left most the tools and jack in there just in case I need to hitch a ride to the nearest town...

Put a Trailer Hitch on it and Buy one of those Hitch-Mount Baskets for hauling Cargo.. only Use it when you are traveling and take it off when you get where you are going.

Mount the Hitch Low and Back so it is hidden.

Should cost you about $200 with the Hitch installed.
