Default 2006 350Z Roadster Top problem

Hello all.

Just got my 2006 350Z roadster about a month ago and I love it. The other day it started to have a problem retracting the top. It would fold up and begin to tuck and then just stop. I can push the close button for a second and then hit the open button again maybe two or three times and then it works. The car only has 5000 miles on it.

Anyone else have this problem?

Any ideas?

I am planning on taking it to the dealer but just thought I would ask around first.

Are you making sure you are stepping on the brakes firmly the whole time?

Hi,

I also have the same experience. It happened three times so far (mine has about 1800 miles), and it all happened at night when the weather was little bit chilli and/or damp. So I was speculating that the weather may be responsible for it. I'll wait a little longer and see what happens. I still have quite a bit to go before the warranty expires. (Wait, is it covered by the factory LIMITED WARRANTY???)

Does anyone have idea why this happens?

It should be covered by the 3Y/36K warranty -- assuming your dealer can duplicate the problem. Take it in to the dealer and let us know what happens!

Top motor gear lubrication (grease) pack up because of the low temperature. Ask Dealer to check this item, before they start to disassemble !
