Z Convertible Question
only difference being weight, which we dont know, one could only assume very close, convertables typicly add a little weight, maybe 50lbs or so, but the Z doesnt have to try too hard for those times, so yeah... depends if your talkin average, or absolute best?
bigger difference would likely be in handling ability, again, depending how much stability is lost, supposedly the roof on the coups has no structural support, hence the rear strut bar, so the convertable wouldnt lose any strength. only time will tell, and more likely only an expert driver would ever put the car to the limit that it would be measurable.

yeah, but adding weight to the rear is never the ideal method of evening the weight distrobution.
nice that it works out that way, but its not exactly a benifit, I could toss 50lbs in my trunk too and call it balance... owell, just my 2 cents.
100lbs sounds like a fair ballpark, you could just look at conv vs coupe mustangs, similair setup, power soft top with glass window vs hard top.
