I like to think of the top as Bird Sht protector. Only up when parked.

No need for top up driving when equiped with heated seats. Now, if I only had the vented seats, all would be perfect.

Thanks and hopefully ill have a Roadster before winter!
I don't know the Summer in Ohio but down here in southeast...Summer is not the best time to drive around with top down...at least for me it's not...haha

Spring and Fall it is!!!

And I never thought my Roadster was ugly with the top up. I have a PPW with Dark Blue top and I think it looks better than coupes. Coupe looks like a frog to me.

Probably yes, because of the weight.

But def. coupe would handle better than ZR because of the hard top. That big *** built in rear strut bar looks like a no joke as well.

^Yes, the coupes are faster. The added weight on the ZR kinda sucks.

That can easily be fixed.

I swapped my cats for TPs, No spare or tools, JWT flywheel (14 lbs instead of the stock 23).

A 2005 Z Roadster supposedly has a curb weight of Curb 3,462 lbs. I would guess that mine (with a 1/4 of gas) is currently hovering below 3400 lbs.

Next time I take it to a track I'm going to get it weighed.

Definately go weight it. I'd be interested in how much weight you were able to save.

Dude, what are you talking about?!

We are talking about @stock here. And if you think about it for sec here...

You or whoever could buy a coupe and do the exact same mod, right?

@stock or @same mod, coupe will always lighter than a roadster.

You can't really compare a stock car with a mod car. See my point?

Unless you modify your ZR to open up manually and take out that heavy convertible motor out of the car.

^On top of what I said...

for 03~05

Coupe:
3,188 lb (Base)
3,197 lb (Enth)
3,217 lb (Perf)
3,247 lb (Tour)
3,225 lb (Track)

Roadster:
3,428 lb (Enth)
3,462 lb (Tour)

So there is 215lbs difference between Touring Coupe and Touring Roadster.

That's more than mods you've listed.

for 06~07

Coupe:
3,339 lb (Base)
3,346 lb (Enth)
3,400 lb (Tour)
3,404 lb (Grand)
TBD (NISMO)

Roadster:
3,580 lb (Enth)
3,600 lb (Tour)
3,602 lb (Grand)

So there is 200lbs difference between Touring Coupe and Touring Roadster.

Again, that's more than mods you've listed.

Data = from wikipedia.
