being on a car auction isn't so bad as long as it wasn't taken from the privious owner. dealers sometimes buy/sell/trade their cars through auctions too. just check to see if it was involved in any kind of accident, not only physical crash accidents but also hails, fulid, etc. and has a clean, clear title. Carfax should give you a full records of everything.

also check if the car was used as a rental car or something. Carfax should give you this info. too. another thing I always check before I buy a used car is that if the car had only one owner and how much average mileages he/she put on the car every year.

good luck!

You or whoever could buy a coupe and do the exact same mod, right?

@stock or @same mod, coupe will always lighter than a roadster.

You can't really compare a stock car with a mod car. See my point?

Unless you modify your ZR to open up manually and take out that heavy convertible motor out of the car.
Uh ... when did I ever say a Roadster was lighter than a Coupe. I was merely pointing out that weight savings are possible.

BTW ... News Flash, taking a picture of yourself flexing in the mirror is quite ... This isn't myspace

You know what you said, so I won't repeat myself here for an useless argument. Some kids never like to admit that they are wrong, I noticed. That's fine. Now when did I ever said that it was myspace? Nice yellow man avatar you got there too!

Oh, btw...next time you want to make a comment about me...please make that sounds more personal and please make it face to face...so I have something to punch on...or squeze...got me bro?

I can't seem to get your link to work, but I think if your car has leather seats, it is a Touring. There are other options that define Touring as well, but I think the leather seats is something that is easy to use as an identifier. Also, I think the Bose stereo is also a sign of Touring or above.

Decent deal, when I was looking it looked like convertibles in different areas of the US went for pretty different prices. I picked my 04 Touring up a few weeks ago with 23K on it for $20K in Texas....

Go for a Roadster, they don't look so bad with the top up. I'm getting a Roadster soon.

'04 ZR only comes with traction control (not stability control). I can't recall which acronym TPS is.

Spring and Fall it is!!!

And I never thought my Roadster was ugly with the top up. I have a PPW with Dark Blue top and I think it looks better than coupes. Coupe looks like a frog to me.
Your right !!! We do not drop the top till evening to hot . Heck 50's to 80's is just right with the heated seats just turn them on and enjoy

I purchased an 06 Touring Roadster about a month ago. I am completely satisfied with the car. I never considered the coupe... although they look good. Mine had to be able to go topless.

This is a great car. The negatives I have read, and I read a lot before pulling the trigger and going with the Z (considered a Honda S2K, Mustang GT, BMW Z4 and a Miata before getting the Z), all the negatives were just nit-picking IMHO.
