Default Possibly getting a Roadster

Has anyone one here gone from the Coupe to the roadster? I currently own a 350z coupe and since i only drive the car in the summer i am considering trading it in on a roadster. I have found a couple in the area selling for 20-23 i really havent like the lines of the roadster but it is growing on me.. the top up makes it look fugly but then again im only driving the car in the summer. also has anyone had any problems with the top or anything mechanically realated to the top opening and closing? Thanks and hopefully ill have a Roadster before winter!

I have driven both. I have a roadster now. The roadster gives you options. Top up / Top down. The coupe has no similar options.

Some people have had problems with the top. Search it out.

I have had both. Coupe has more room and more reclining seat room. But I still prefer the topless version,

Not sure if you are buying new or used. Search on the 2004 top problems if buying used.

Never owned a coupe but I always planned on getting one until I found a smokin' deal on my roadster. I agree it does look rather fugly with the top up, but then again what convertible doesn’t? I personally think it look sexy as hell with the top down and living in Arizona I get to do that pretty much as often as I want (except in July :/). I did have problems with the convertible lid completely closing and latching properly when the top was down but luckily this happened the night I bought the car so the dealership took care of it.
I still love the lines of the coupe but if you only drive during the summer and enjoy convertibles it’s freakin’ awesome.. and of course the ladies love it when that top goes down.

Had a coupe, but got the roadster and LOVE it. It is a bit smaller in the interior, but with the top down you can't beat it!!!! GET THE ROADSTER AND NEVER TURN BACK!!

When I got my roadster, I was initially considering the coupe. After test driving both, the coupe never seemed the same again -- from that point on, it had to be the roadster.

Plus, I actually like the way the roadster looks with the top up and/or down.

$22k for an 05 is a good deal depending on mileage, is it the touring model?

Just to give you an idea I just bought an 05 ZR Touring, 10k miles, extra clean car with extended warranty, new double stitched top, $25k.

I had a coupe. I do miss it sometimes, but when I put the top down on my LS roadster I stop missing the coupe.

Sounds good, but see if you can get a free Carfax on it or otherwise find out if the top has been replaced.
