Default Q for roadster owners

I just picked up my roadster 2 days ago, what a fun ride. Question for you guys, is it bad to leave the car sitting in the garage with the top down?

I assume it's better for the top to be up as much as possible rather then being stuffed down. Am I off base here?

There have been several discussions here about wrinkles that occur when the top is down for long periods of time. Some owners say the wrinkles disappear, some say they don't do so very quickly. I keep the top up when parked overnight in my home garage or when parked in the garage at work, mostly because it keeps interior dust down.

Yeah Ive noticed that itll wrinkle if I leave it down for a few days, but the wrinkles have always come out either on their own or after Ive washed the car and then dried the top. But I just leave it with the top up now to keep the dust from the garage out.

The owner's manual says it's better for the top not to leave it down for extended periods due to wrinkling.

I usually will leave mine down in the garage if I know I'm going to drive again soon, otherwise I try to keep it up mainly to keep dust out...hard enough to keep the interior clean with all the road grime from driving with the top down.

Good stuff guys thanks, I just wanted to make sure if I left it down overnight here and there there wouldn't be any issues.

Mine's a daily driver and it's parked in the garage with the top down almost every night. It's wrinkled when I put it up at work in the morning but by mid day the wrinkles are gone. I still drive to and from work with the top down, I'm sure when/if winter comes, the top will be up at night.
