Question looking for answers

I have an 05 ZR and want to change my stock 18" for 19" wheels and tires.

For those of you that did it what changes, good and bad did you experience.

and why are there so many people selling their bigger wheels after they get them. I don't want to spend a lot of money and find out I don't like the ride.

thanks for the info.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to go with 19's? For looks or handling -- or both?

I'm looking for looks for one.

I'm afraid if I go for 20 the tires will hit the wheel well and effect the ride.

I drive the Z to Florida in the summer so I still want a comfortable ride so to speak.

My guess is that your 05 has 17" inch stockers on it.

My 05 came with 17's, now running 18's with coilovers and the car sits damn low, but I gave up some of the ride quality for the performance. Some days I feel like the ride is just for trackdays but I will live with my decision.

Not sure, but I think all ZR's come with 18" as factory stock. I would definitely upgrade from 17's if that's what I had. But I am pretty happy with my 18's.

I bought my car used and I don't think that it was lowered or anything -- but it's already low enough. But I'm still curious about going to 19's maybe.

there's an easy way to tell--go look at your tires and see what size they are.

Default GT wheels

I have the GT wheels from an 07 and they are 18" front 19" back. I still think these are some of the best looking wheels on the Roadster. THis pic is without spacers or lowering.

I switched out the 18's for some 19" volks and will never look back, one of the best decisions I have ever made. Ride is still very comfortable and car looks amazing....
