Applying Protectant to top
I just applied 303 on my top for the 2nd time in 2 months. I just spray it on but it gets all over the car. Is there a less messy way to apply? I was thinking of applying it to a rag or sponge & wiping it on the top which will get rid of overspray. How long do you let it sit before wiping excess off?

i got one of those velcro grabbers attached to a microfiber sponge disc you can get at wal-mart or any advance auto.
you don't need to super saturate the top with it. spray on cloth--> gently apply --> soak up any excess with a microfiber towel.
voila!

Kind of on the same subject of keeping your tops clean: I use a lint roller, the same kind you use on your clothes, about once a week, or more often as desired. It's basically masking tape on a spindle. I just roll it over the top, and it picks up any loose dirt or dust that may have settled on the top. It does a great job, and does not leave any sticky residue. I picked up this little trick from the guys that detail cars for the Pebble Beach Concours d elegance. They use the lint rollers on million dollar cars that are drop tops or have cloth tops.

does the 303 aerospace protectant bead up water for you all?
i've noticed it doesn't bead up on mine very well, but then again it hasn't rained till 2-3 weeks after the application.
thinking about switching to raggtop to see how it fares?

I like 303 better than raggtop (the first product I bought). I find the water to bead longer. Plus, 303 costs a quarter of what raggtop costs.

For anyone buying the 303 Protectant make sure you get the VINYL protectant.
