Default Yet Again Another Z gets hit

So this morning I was driving to work. I was entering the highway (I-35) my lane continues to exit on another highway (I-69). This is a very bad area, everyday its all stopped up and congested. Car in front of me hits their brakes, I hit my brakes and BOOM. Struck from behind. A 98 Mustang had changed lanes to get on I-69 and rear-ended me. The Z survived suprizingly well. I had barely any damage, I need a new rear bumper, reinforcement, absorber, muffler, tail pipes. I called police as I was getting out of the vehicle, the guy tried to tell me I didn't have any damage, I laughed said yes I do. Explained that I am an insurance adjuster, asked for his insurance card and license. Turns out he's insured by the company I work for. Police arrested him for "a couple outstanding warrants" I went to work, by the time the cops called me back with where they were towing his vehicle, my whole back was in pain, I tried to work, went to the emergency room. Now I'm on 3 different medications and have one of two choices, I'm loopy and I don't hurt or I hurt and I can drive.

Yes I will get pics up as soon as my camera is charged and its daylight again. I swear the world does not want me to have a Z.

Lindsay, I swear if if wasn't for bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all.
Sorry to hear about your aching back and take care of yourself first.

I'm gonna say it is. What would have been the original owner lost his job..... Which is how I came on to his custom ordered Z.
It went into the shop today, I have to say she took it like a Champ. New bumper, absorber, exhaust pushed in 1-2 inches. Which my husband and I are taking this opportunity to get a NISMO exhaust, got it ordered today, found it for $840 online, called the dealer and got them to match it. It should be in Wed/Thurs/Fri, the shop will put it on so I don't have to pay the outrageous dealer fees.
I am going to endorse a 3 strikes your out rule with the Z, I swear one more bad thing happens and I'm gonna get rid of it. God willing this won't happen.
I am doing better just back pain. I'm trying to make it to the meeting tonight Blue Hvn, as long as my husband will bring me, cause I need a drink.

Got the Z back yesterday. Looks good, I had gone by the body shop on weds cause I wanted to see the progress and brought the NISMO exhaust in. Found a small imperfection in the paint and they fixed it. I like the NISMO, it sounds so much throatier and mean. I don't really think its any faster but then again I've had the car 2 months and I drove a rental for a couple days so anything seams faster than that! I got the dealer to match an internet price of $840 (www.thenismoshop.com) The insurance gave me $500 for the exhaust and since I work in insurance I got it installed for $100. Total cost to me for exhaust $440. I'm sorry I never got pics up, I'll work on it.

I hope you back pain goes away soon. I wish I could have got my Nismo exhaust at that price.

Its kinda hard to do that when you are employeed by the insurance company that hit you. I wanted NISMO, my husband didn't know what he wanted just an exhaust, so we went NISMO. Look my del Sol had some aftermarket body parts but not any exhaust or engine mods, I'm just starting here... I trust Nissan therefore NISMO is good to start with.
