Default Which would you choose?

The dealership says my drive belts are cracking. I thought about just getting an aftermarket UDP set while I would be replacing the belts. I really want an exhaust too though. Wife says only one.

Should i just get the nissan belts replaced and get the exhaust. Or should I get the UDP set and save up for the exhaust?

I know on one of my old cars I did the UDP and loved the way it free'd up the revs and throttle response.

The only thing that worries me about the UDP is if something goes wrong I don't want my extended warranty company making a big deal about it.

Thanks

Go with the more expensive and visibly noticeable option (exhaust) and do the UDP later (she will never know....). The belts can last another month or two.

I would go with a Nismo Exhaust....

Do the UDP after your warranty expires...

Okay I have decided to go with the exhaust and just get the belts replaced. I just don't know which one I want to get. All the clips on line sound different. Some make the exhaust sound good, others are horrible sounding. I don't have anyone around me, so I can't hear them in person either.

Based on the clips I have heard I like the XO2, Topspeed, and Invidia. What do you guys think about these choices?

none of those that you listed, Kenpo !!!

HKS, Injen SES or Nismo are good for N/A imo!

I like the Nismo but it just doesn't seem that loud to me. Are the gains that good? I just don't care for the sound of the Injen. The HKS well that is out of my price range.

I know I can find a good used Nismo if that is the one I decide but I guess that will just be another one to add to the decision list.

Built2ShredZ are you pretty happy with your nismo exhaust? I guess you must be with all your other Nismo components. How is the noise with the top down? I love the stock exhaust just want it louder but don't want to have to mess with CEL's from test pipes. Do you have any video clips of your roadster or would you mind sending me one?

IMO, the Nismo sound is perfect, its little bit louder then stock but not so loud that it wears your nerves out after extended driving... Something you want to keep in mind if your wife drives with you a lot.... Otherwise her complaining to you is going to ruin your new exhaust experience...

With the 350z, Exhaust, CAI, Headers, etc..etc.. won't give you much of performance boost... In order to see any meaningful gains you will have to go the turbo/supercharger route...

I'll do a video clip and email it to you if you want... PM your email address...

I ordered the Bassani exhaust, so obviously that would be my choice, but didnt see that in your list. You asked me about the N1, I think I forgot to reply about that, never heard a clip... of the ones you listed, I didn't consider any of those. Sorry I cant be more help. I have listened a fair amount of clips, Bassani and Borla were my first picks.

Whats your price range?

Thats cool you finally got the Bassani ordered. When do you think you will have it on? I am thinking between 600-800.00 for the exhaust. Cheaper is better but so I am thinking about used. Possibly a used Nismo but I do like the others I have listed.

Here's a quick clip.. I had to compress it to get the size down, sounded better before the compression but the file was like 500 megs without compression It looked so much better in 1080p

My nephew was driving while I video tapped.. So that was him frying the clutch

I will have to watch this when I get home from work. I took a sneak peak and it looks like a great clip. Your ZR is really nice! I will have to reply back after i get to watch the clip at full volume with some good speakers.

Thanks for taking the time to do that!

"ok thats good-thats good dude, dont wanna **** off the neighbors"

haha

Thats a good clip...inside n out. Thanks for sharing. Sounds nice nice looking ZR too.

I will keep you updated kenpo, should be within two weeks. Bassani doesnt build them until they are ordered (sounds like). I think thats why its so hard to find a dealer...

I'll have to check out some sound clips n get back to you. I think most of the ones you listed I didnt check out. (the pricerange thing, although mine was 900, not too crazy)

Just got off of work and checked out the clip. That does sound pretty amazing! Very nice clip! You covered everything in it. I really liked it. I thought your intake had a nice sound to it as well.

Thanks again for doing that.
