Default Z tire pressure and new tail light

Question: book says 35 psi cold (06 ZR) for tire pressure, but I find it goes up to 42 psi or so during normal driving. Anybody know if that is too high? Tire wear is not excessive...

OBTW- was crew for bro-in law at Road Atlanta vintage races last weekend (The Mitty) and noticed a late model black Z coupe with a single round taillight instead of the wedge. Anybody know about those? It looked pretty good...

Yes, it is normal for the pressure to increase after driving. The heat caused by the flexing & friction of the tire will cause the air in the tire to expand.

btw... I never go by the owners manual unless you still have the stock tires. I always refer to the specs on the side wall of the tires for correct pressure.

No- not blacked out- it was like a short 3 in dia tube lens grafted on to the triangular part. It was a something like one on GTR.... Wish I had taken a shot of it, but someone else was driving.

Cold tire pressure is cold tire pressure. It should be checked cold. Unless you are racing there is little need to be concerned.
