I noticed the difference in hp between the manual and the auto. I have a wrx but I just bought a 06 at roadster touring. How can I get those 13hp back on my Z? I paid cash for my car so I am kinda looking for cheapest and most reasonable tuning.

I also have an 06 ZR with the automatic. You note the horespower rating is less than for the stick version (287 vs 300), but notice the torque is higher. I think the header is longer for the automatic.
From what I've read, a cold air intake filter/tube mod (K&N- 10 hp?) and a Motordyne plenum spacer ( 10 hp?) will get you there. I'm also considering a NISMO cat back for a few (6) more and still keep the wonderful 'burble' the exhaust makes. Test pipes would be cheaper and maybe more power, but are not nice at inspection time. This is NOT from first-hand experience.

I have the JWT POP-Charger....I love it & especially the price.
I came across this ad at a great price....check it out!

I also have the PURE Innovations plenum spacer kit which allows you to use the stock strut bar....I love both mods & they improve the growl sound too!

I have an 04 ZR. You can see my current mods in my sig. I was able to get a crazy deal on UR crank pulley, so that will be going on next. After the crank pulley will def. be the intake. What kind of number should I be netting?
I wanted to ask without doing a new post. Do you guys think with these mods I will need to do a retune? Where do you get these done? Are they expensive?
