I put a deposit on my Roadster in November of last year! My dealer placed my order as soon as the system started taking them. While I was on vacation, my buddy walks into another dealership down the street (10 miles away) and has his coice of THREE Roadsters and buys one for MSRP. Mine on the other hand is still in LA at the port. There is another dealer across town with 5 in stock right now for sale! They even have one with the same colors as mine (unfortunately it's an automatic). What the hell was the point of leaving a deposit that long ago and people who didn't place an order or leave a deposit are picking them up now? Is this a Nissan problem or a dealer problem? It really has taken some of the excitement out of this whole deal.

 

Personally I would go to another dealer, make a deal, put a deposit down (say you want to goto your bank and get a loan as B.S. ) go to the current one, get your deposit back and boom--there you go. Or just wait. You don't want them to rush the car to you, they may mess it up. Then all the other roadsters will be sold and you'll have to wait longer. just constantly call them to make sure your new baby is comming!
