Beautiful Sunday So Cal Ride
Finally, a day without obligations! J and I decided to take advantage of near perfect weather to take a long ride up into the local mountains.
My new-to-me '06 ZR behaved perfectly. Blasting up CA 18 toward Running Springs, the car rode like it was on a rail! No rattles, squeaks, cowlshake, or sloppy steering was evident. We loved the confidence inspiring way the car hugged the curves at speeds well above the "recommended" numbers on the yellow signs!
Well, the weather was perfect up in Big Bear. 78 degrees, crystal clear air and not too much traffic. We had some lunch, took a walk and then headed home.
In all, a great day!
One observation J and I made was that during the entire outing we saw not one Z. What a perfect day for a convertible outing!
I think next time we do this, we'll post the details here first. Maybe some other Z enthusiasts will enjoy coming along...

Cheers,
Steve in So Cal

Up here in Glendora, it's been raining pretty consistently over the past few days, though J and I did take a ride up Glendora Mountain Road on Sunday. Very nice.
Got home, put the top up in anticipation of rain. Left both windows down about half way.
Boy did it rain....

You should post some pictures - nothing beats a good shot of a ZR with a dramatic background
On all my drives I haven't once seen a Z - and during my 2 years in Colorado I haven't seen one orange Z or any Z roadsters
.
Anyway, this is me last week up in the Rockies during a long lunch break - perfect Colorado skies as usual!
