Automatic vs. Manuel
Hey guys,
So I just came back from test driving an 05' roadster. The tried the automatic then the manual. In my opinion the auto was very luxury feeling compared to my MX-5 but I liked the Manual better for that interactive sporty feel. The only thing I didn't like was this VERY annoying red blinking light that kept flashing every time I revved the RPM's. Then it would beep at me when I got into the redline. WTF?! I asked the dealer but this idiot couldn't tell me what it was. So I walked. Can anyone tell me what the hell that means? I'm very confused and kinda disenchanted at the idea of a manual. I would probably have to put some dumb sticker over it so I didn't have it flash in my face anymore.

+1.
You set it to a RPM range you'd like to shift at. For example, if you'd like to shift every gear at 5k RPM, you'd set it at that. The light would flash everytime you hit 5k. It's a visual reminder to shift. It can also serve as a warning that you're reaching redline, if you choose to set it a few hundred rpm's prior to redline...
