The problem with just trying to make an enclosure of the space in the cubby behind the seats is that it is way to big for a normal 10" sub, easy 1+ qft. With that big volume the sub will not take much power without issues of failure.
I made two enclosures of MDF/fiberglass in my ZR, but I also made a new panel to go across. I"m not a fan of 100% fiberglass enclosures unless they are really thick and well dampened using dynamat or similar. It will generate a hollow sound if it is just bare fiber glass.
I'm looking into making a drop in enclosure to replace the factory sub but still nothing ready, hopefully later this spring when I have some more time.
It will be 0.6-0.8 qft sealed for a 10" sub firing into the seat and held in place using factory bolts.
