Default What would you do?

Hey, from reading this forum, you guys helped stop me from buying a Roadster from a dealer who was planning on selling me the car at $4k over MSRP.

I am de-lurking to ask for some more help.

I am currently talking to two dealers. One is about an hour from me, the other is about 4 hours from me. Here is the breakdown of the situation.

Dealer who is one hour away:

Touring, Black on Black, Leather Seats, heated seats, navigational system, side airbags, mats, etc, etc, for $36,9700. I would have to wait until the end of September.

Dealer who is four hours away:

I could take a 40 minute flight, which would only cost me $100 for a ticket. It is a touring model also, brickyard with charcoal cloth seats, no Nav system, side airbags, mats, etc. for $33,376. I could get it within 24 hours of me saying yes.

This is all before tax, title and license.

Both dealerships have been great, and the one who is one-hour away even helped me get my deposit back from the original dealership I went to when they turned nasty about getting my deposit back.

The major difference is the color, leather seats and Navigational
system.

Which one would you choose and why?

Thanks for all and any advice or thoughts.

Am I reading you right? Are you shopping for a roadster? If so I don't think that roadsters come in brickyard which was retired with the '03s.

Hmmm...the dealer told me it was in brickyard. Is he not telling the truth? I am feeling really gun shy right now since the original dealer became nasty after I tried to get them to come down on the price they were quoting me.

So the Roadster is NOT being made in Brickyard?

He just called and said that it was Redline, not Brickyard.

Well, at least he called to tell me.

If these are both roadsters, one dealerships lying to you. The Roadster does not come in Brick. personal I like Brick better than Black. I think the Brick is a Classier color and more rare than black. Also the Brick IS NOT A TOURING all touring Zs have the heated Leather seats and if its not a performance model (coupe) it may have the 17" not the 18" but it could also be a Track model (tracks don't have leather) then you would get the Ray's 18"and the Brembos. But the Roadster only comes in the Touring (with leather) Fully loaded around $40K and Enthusiast (with Cloth) for around 35k.
The Nav is nice to have, But you can put in one (like mine) That is more than just Nav(DVD,MP3) for around the same price.
Just make sure you get what you want, don't Settle for some thing else, and be kicking yourself in 6 mo

Edit: sorry i did not see your post about it being a Redline, I drove a Redline Enth. Roadster a few weeks ago and I loved it. The Redline will be easier to keep clean in the rainy NW. come to think about it, how offen will you beable to even put the top down? Might want to get a coupe

Also, all 03 Touring models comes with leather seats standard not cloth. Sounds like the dealer is just trying to real you in the door.

something is a little fishy here...

I don't think a dealer is going to give you a roadster for below MSRP, because with the navigation system included in the sticker that's what he will be doing..

at that price i'll take a dozen.

I am going to the dealer who is one hour away tomorrow. I guess I am going to have to see what he actually tells me.

I am beginning to get discouraged. :/

KBB shows a enth Roadster with just side air bags as: $34,640 Retail, $32,062 Invoice. Find out what each one is and has so you know what your looking at. Do the research so you can deal accordingly.

Ask each dealer to fax you a copy of the invoice. Then you'll know exactly what each car has got before you even leave your house.
