Noticed a prob. on brand new 350Z
Do know why but now when I accerlerate heavily thru gears the oil pressure shoots straight to 120, maxing on every gear, yet i dont feel the same acceleration or torgue as i did 2wks ago when i bought it?
Almost feels like slight loss of power? When you rev up the motor it takes slightly longer to rev bak down, where it usally is quick and responsive to rev up and then instantly back down??

According to your signature, it sounds as if this is a brand new 08. If you are pushing this thing without breaking it in you could be causing a few problems. The owners manual is very explicit on not going over 4k rpms for the first 1,200 miles.
I sure hope you read the manual.

i redlined mine leaving the dealership, and whooped a stang GT at the first light.... ran it hard to 1k miles, changed the oil and ran fine ever since. Minus the slave cyl prob.
check your oil level, too much could be just as bad as too little. check air filters too, my 03 spec had sucked up a platic bag in the first week of ownership and acted REALLY f'd up.

Is the engine cold when this happens? If so - normal. If not - oil sending unit (sensor?) could be an issue - but never seen that happen on a new vehicle.
Loss in power - probably just you getting used to the car - that's all - no loss.

Same thing happened in my 06... I just got used to the power. The revs hanging on issue is inherent to the car. I have driven 3 different 350z's and they all do it. just get used to adjusting your shifting accordingly. If it bothers you that much, get a lightened flywheel.
I also experienced the "slight power loss" thing, but all it took was driving my GF's civic for a day to make me appreciate it again. Like night and day!!

it seems to get a bit better when warmer, and i do understand about the vicosity thing and oil pressure BUT it the question is how high should my oil prs go while accelerating thru the gears??? its maxing on each gear like 120?
I thought it was just me getting used to it also, but i talked myself out of it, it truly just dosent have the same pep or tourque.
just hope i didnt eff something up.

blows my mind that someone wouldn't already know that you need to be gentle with a new engine. it even further blows my mind that you wouldn't take a few minutes to read the manual when you probably just dropped 21-30 grand on a car.
live and learn, at least it's under warranty..
