Default Any ZR owners buy Burnt Orange Interior Pieces from 350zsource.com???

I am looking at some of the burnt orange leather pieces from 350zsource.com (motorsportauto.com) - I asked them to send me a sample swatch for comparison. But the swatch they sent does not match the color of the ventilated seats in my ZR. The swatch is just a shade more brown than orange - not much, but noticeable.

So the question is if the burnt orange interior of the coupes the same color as the orange ventilated seats of the roadster?

Or - if you purchased any of the actual interior pieces for your roadster (arm rest covers, door panel covers, shift boots, etc), did they match your interior?

FYI - these are what I am looking at buying:

I bought the shift boot from them. I live about 15miles away from the store so i just went and they just let me match it up to the interior. It has a slightly different color,a little lighter than stock but looks very good installed. You'll be happy with it. Most people wont even notice it.

I think our vented seats are darker than the non-vented hard top model. A lot of people do not even know our vented seats exist, even the dealer! they think its custom, i'm like no its not.

Them be the ones - and looking at your pic it looks like burnt orange seats are not the same color as the ventilated ones. Although the armrests and the shift boot do seem slightly more orange than the seats - slightly.

Hmmmmm... decisions decisions. Think I'll try the shift boot first and see how it looks in person.

That's interesting. I have the orange/mesh seats and I was looking at the same orange accents for the interior that you posted. I didn't ask for a swatch yet or anything, but it is nice to know that the color may be off a bit.

Still, if it is only slightly off, I won't worry. Looks like a nice interior piece to liven up the boring insides of the Z.

I had to order brake pads anyway, so I also ordered the shift boot as well. I guess I will see how close the color matches when it gets here.

If it looks OK I will start ordering the other parts, if not, to the classifieds it goes.

Seeing how oddjobb's interior looks with the orange exterior has me itching to get this moving. I sold my motorcycle, so I will be using some of the money on the Z.

Post the pics. This is the #1 mod on my list right now because I think my interior is lacking.

Well I got the shift boot the other day, and here is a pic comparing the zr seats with the burnt orange shiftboot from thezstore:

You can see that the color is off - enough that I would like to find a better alternative.

I emailed another leather site and they are sending me swatches of their orange leathers, so hopefully I can find a better match.

Wow. That's not even close. I'm not picky or anything, but come on. If you put it on, post some pics. Maybe it looks better when it isn't right on top of the seats?

No, never bought pieces from them. All of my burnt orange pieces were made by Don at: http://www.dallassteeringwheel.com/index.htm The color match of his materials are close. He does good work, with excellent turn around time. Also, he has pieces ready to go.

I had my steering wheel, shifter handle (auto), e-brake, and passenger door handle recovered. I stayed away from the armrests and center console lid, as that would have been overkill. Overall, my pieces balance the interior. I know there were changes made on proceeding years, and finding the right combo is key, as far as aesthetics.

Thought I have a pic in my album of the completed interior...not! I'll take a pic, and post soon. Cheers!

This is what I did....

None of my pieces were bought ready made. I had them recovered by Don at Dallas Steering Wheel.

My attempt was to accent the seats, while balancing the orange with other pieces.

That looks much better than any samples I have gotten from other places.

I may have to give them a call.

I have the dashkit, shiftboot, shift handle, door armrests, airduct accents rear storage covers all in matching burnt orange. Perfect matches. The dashkit runs $400.

Strange I have the burnt orange shift **** from 350zsource and it matches almost exactly. I was going to pick up the e-brake as well, but not I'm not sure.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I very curious about this because I have the se burnt orange/black ventilated seats and I was considering grabbing maybe the shift boot and door armrests from the Z store in their burnt orange. But now I'm not so sure...?

I was about to pull the trigger ordering the shift boot from The Z Store, but emailed them first with a few questions and never got a response. Luckily that happened, because I then found the shift boot PLUS the e-brake boot as a set for $25 on eBay. That's literally more than $80 less than I would have spent at The Z Store. Plus it states genuine Italian leather, so I don't see how the quality could be any worse? Hopefully the color matches *close enough.
