Default Looking at Several Roadsters...Need Advice

I am new here but this looks like great place for tips and information. I am looking at several used 08 350Z roadsters...is there anything I need to look for as far as problem areas? It sounds like the top mechanisms might be troublesome. The one's I have been looking at are priced in the mid $20s which seems to be about the market.

for mid twenties why not just upgrade to a 370 coupe.

he obviously wants a roadster. the 370z roadster will probably be around 40k too.

just make sure the top is in good condition and doesn't struggle to open or close in any way, as they are pretty expensive to replace.

IMO, the Roadster top mechanics (motors) wear out with 3-4 years of heavy use. It's a bad design IMO, and what adds salt to the wound is there is no manual way of opening or closing it. So when it goes bad you have to pay Nissan $1500-$2000 to fix it.

Otherwise the Roadster is a great car.

Same here - and I use them fairly heavily.
