I went from a heavily modded Focus ZX3 to a S2000, sold it thought I wanted turbo AWD, got a 3000GT VR4, had it for 4 months before i started to miss the two seater convertible feel. I Sold the VR4 and bought the ZR. I love the vented burnt orange seats, the torque, and it looks amazing. Next to the S2000 it makes the S2K look plain. I have modded my ZR and have been happy with the results.
I have had over a year and some months of happy worry free ownership until a few months ago. A tear started. I went to an upholstry shop that put a patch on. The patch didn't last and now I am looking at replacing the top. I dont' think this is any reason to get rid of the car or keep anyone from getting one.

OP - I see you are in TX - I'm in DFW area - definitely DO IT. IMO - you can keep the top DOWN more than UP.
Other advantages? 360 visibility w/top down....oh, and don't forget surround sound.
Do it - and enjoy
