you should make a new thread so pictures will be easy to find in a search instead of looking through endless pages

Those of you who are getting this, are you planning to remove your soft top?

Is this a fashion statement?

For what purpose are you getting a hard top?

Road noise?

I'm just curious.

I've got a ZR which is now my track only car.
I love cabrio's though so I bought a BMW 335i hardtop convertible for all the reasons I could nolonger stand a soft top but this doesn't seem practical in any fashion except for track users...

My soft top and cage are messed up. Something fell on it and instead of replacing the whole top I decided to get the hard top. This is a toy car for me and I only drive on nice days anyway. So this will be more of a seasonal thing for me. I will keep it on all winter and have it off the rest of the year. Here is South Carolina I can drive with the top down from March - November. So I run the risk of getting caught in the rain but I won't drive if there is the slightest chance of rain.

See, that is a logical reason for it. I don't see why most people who will buy it, will buy it...

I want one for the same reason, why pay for a new soft top that I will use only twice a year? I will miss the operation of the top mechanism, it's very cool to watch.

Ok I don't know what's the deal with smooth line. They have the worse customer service ever!
Ordered my top
11/15/12
They say it took roughly around 8 weeks for production. Paid 500 down for deposit to get the order started.
8 weeks later I contacted them via email..no reply.
I called them end of jan..they said it will be done by 1 st week of feb.
Called them up and email them again..no reply on email. Left a voicemail and called back 3 days later saying that the top is ready and ask me where I need to get it ship. I told him that ill send the balance of 1879 via PayPal by Friday of next week. He called sat the week before. Sent the money on the 2/15. Never heard from them. I called them up again last Thursday and they say that they will ship it by the end of the week and will email me about shipment info.
Now it is 2/27 and haven't get any email whatsoever!

Can I make a dispute with PayPal if things don't get resolve?
