I'm thinking it will be 2000 as well. If its based off the Corvette model and the Corvettes are in that range. But what I've noticed from their site is they have summer sales where everything is 1000. So I'll wait if necessary. Still they need an intro price.

They don't owe anybody anything. If you are mad about the wait just dont give them your business.

Guys, things take time. Not only are they developing a hard top for the roadsters but they also have orders they are making for other vehicles as well. It will come

Doesn't matter to me how long it takes. When it comes out, I'll take a long hard look at getting one. I'd rather have it be done right more than done today.

Yeah seriously. The waiting game is... ****..
Once they have the prototype/first working model done its just a few shells/moulds away from being practically in production. And to boot, this is relatively simple stuff. Face it, there are no moving parts 2 locking mechanisms and one rear windscreen (which if they've made tops for other cars successfully, really shouldn't take very much time or effort).
If the price is right, I will definitely get one, but I don't quite grasp what is taking them so long.
No Rome wasn't built in a day, but the saturn sky and solstice () got a top before the Z roadster did. And you can't exactly argue that they got tops because they are roadsters only (although the solstice does come in coupe, **** the technicalities), because all the corvettes have tops and they came in coupe versions as well.
IDK im just rambling but you get my general impatience.

Smoothlines: Take your time and do it right. Please don't rush it and have it fit poorly, not seal or be unable to latch it down. Let us know if you have technical difficulties and perhaps we can help sort it out.

They're showing off a carbon fiber roof for the Solstice on their site. Looks nice. Hopefully the 350Z one will come available in carbon fiber.

Let's take a poll... Which will come out first: the hardtop or the Dreamworks supercharger?
