Top Dropper
I am very interested in the product as described for the "one-touch" operation and would buy it, but I would be interested in paying more for:
- integration with windows up after closing the top
- integration with windows down while opening the top
- auxilary trigger options for open/close (with brake bypass if vehicle is not running)
I feel that the brake bypass could be considered "safe" if the ignition is not turned on.
I can see the auxilary trigger option being used for the following types of situations and integration with other sensors:
- with a rain sensor to protect your cabin
- with an alarm auxilary output to open or close the top with your keyfob
- with an alarm trigger output to close the top if my alarm's perimeter sensor is triggered and the top is down

That would be awesome but they probably can't do it for legal reasons, at least for closing it. Due to the manual locking mechanism, one could forget to lock it when they got in the car and the top could be damaged when its pulled up by wind force. At which point someone could (considering this is America and we can sue people for our own incompetence) sue them.

we're still working on this - we have the hardware and software done, we just need to start the testing process.
Unfortunately, over the Christmas break my laptop died (all files are backed up) but until I get it running again I can't really move forward on this!

No worries, I can be patient.
Good luck with the recovery, thanks for putting in the hard work on this, and can't wait for updates!

I ran into NUMEROUS issues with top functionality throughout the course of my makeover. Since then I have a completely stripped caged roadster for track exclusivity. But a couple years ago, this would have been swell. If you run into any issues, the guy who helped me and BamBam is NoahzBurnt on here. Although I have Brides now, it would have been great to not have the passenger seat movement during top activation. I understand the purpose of the system, but your so limited in range of motion that that safety device is essentially useless. Once I had mine disabled, I never once encountered a problem with the seat or a passengers head hitting the top during operation.
Anyway, goodluck. Although I don't see these selling like hot cakes, it will be great for the people who do buy them. eBay may reach a significantly larger audience of weekend tuners as opposed to us forum frequenters....

Top Down Automation
Any news on this, I would definately be interested, if it could be shipped overseas (particularly South Africa).
Have you managed to incorporate the features listed above, is this product ready for integration?

I'm still interested as well... curious as to its development status.
I think I mentioned this above but can you program it to put the windows back up when putting the top up?

as for the top not closing......70+ degrees is the magic trick....anything cooler and top is stiff and will bind at the last second causing you to raise up couple of inches and then lower back down to finish the job...
