i got the topsonline aftermarket stayfast cloth. the color IS just as dark black as the OEM. supposedly not as stretchy as the original but honestly the original started drooping eventually as if the glass was too heavy for the top. i've only had the new top for 1-1/2 mo so i don't know if this one will do the same. fyi: topsonline stayfast cloth top offers 5 year warranty.
My OEM top ripped and not at the seams, all that stretching just wore it out i guess. brother installed it for me free! =P... but he is willing to do it for you for $300. ken i'm only about 1600 miles away, in the zroadster should be fun.
jon: i took pics in daylight for ya but my work has photobucket blocked so i can't post but will do it when i get a chance at home. i have a thread with pics that were taken in the garage.
hope this helps people.

like i told kenpo_350Z...ROADTRIP!!! haha.
2004zroadster: i got the exact same top + installed.... it is true when i first got it back there was a small gap on the back but it does stretch out, mine is flush now.
reminder: they recommend not to put the top up/down for a week i think..

A local auto interior shop in Charlotte. Did a good job, but waiting for top to stretch so that it fits flush with the back deck lid. No difference in sound from OEM.

Thanks for the feedback. I have had the new top on my car now for about one month and I still have the gap. It has been very cold though so I am hoping that the top will stretch out as warmer weather returns.

Hey guys I haven't been on the forums for a little while. I am getting ready to purchase a top and I have narrowed it down to the topsonline stayfast cloth. I just want to see if there are any other comments about it before I pull the trigger.
How hard is it to keep the cloth clean? I heard the cloth is a pain in the butt compared to the twillweave.
Thanks
