i just sold my s2000 with 145k and never had any problems with the top machanics.i think it had less motors though.the z only has 38k so i hope i will have just as much problem free miles as my s2000.

Yes this is normal. Only happens when the outside temperature is cool or cold.

I had an S2000 with around 70K miles before getting the ZR. No problems or tears. Sad that I got my 04 ZR with around 31K miles and already have a tear. Luckily no top motor issues except when it was really cold out. I wouldn't go back to the S2000 though.

For a daily driver it got kind of old. It would fly when it is over 6K RPM and was a blast a to drive; but it really lacked the low end torque. I fell in love with the body lines of the Z and interior. The S2K has a smaller interior and not a lot you can do with it. With the ZR I have been able to put in the 7" touchscreen with NAV/DVD, plenty of leg and head room.

The only things I love more in the S2K than the Z would be the transmission, the weight, and the 9K Redline. The S2K's transmission was amazing and it seemed like it could stay in gear forever with the big redline. Even though once you get to 6K and the vtec kicks in it gets there fast.
