Default new top/ where to get it installed??

Ok like the title says. I've done a little research it seams the Haartz cloth top is better than oem quality. Which is also around $700+. Where to get it installed though?? There are several nissan dealers within reasonable driving range to go to in my area stuart,fl. Should I take it to a body shop to have the top installed? Any recommendations of where to go? Also what's the average price on a job like this? I've seen comments about it being a 7hr job and the going shop rate around here is $90-$100+/hr.

One more thing the roof support in my Z the bar directly above your head with the elastic pieces riveted to the bar on the ends; I want to replace it. Is that part available for purchase separately or not? where can I find a parts diagram of the roof and all the components/ part #'s?

Thanks for any help/ comments.

there is a very detailed DYI a member posted on here, just search for it. He will email you the PDF if you ask. Maybe someone in your area can help you with the install for much less than the stealership will. Good luck.

I'm trying to replace my (knifed!) top too. The guide you're referring to is no longer live, so if someone has it, it'd be appreciated. Also, i read somewhere that you're going to need a rivet gun, so... yeah.

Meanwhile, found a $599 top from these guys, but I don't know if they're any good. I don't have a ton of cash right now, so I'm just trying to work with the piddly insurance check I got. Any comments?
