I just bought a 2007 roadster that has the Bose 6 cd changer in it BUT not satellite. The dealer says that the vin# says it is not pre wired for satellite, the owners manual states "satellite radio is not available unless optional satelitte receiver and antenna are installed" the radio button just goes from AM to FM 1, FM 2; the tech guy said it should show satellite when you hit the button> I find this hard to beleive if the tuner isn't installed. Any suggestions on what to do with this Bose system?

I think you pretty much answered your own questions where satellite is concerned.
No receiver + no antenna = no satellite radio.
Why would the head unit switch to SAT if there is no SAT installed?
