If you want to sell quickly...advertise an aggressive price. If you want to sit on it for a bit and get "top dollar"...advertise that way. I hate selling cars, but I won't give one to the dealership to save my life.

My method is aggressive and done... Look up KBB private party retail for your car...be honest about its condition. Price the car appropriately to account for "what you know" about your car versus what may get missed by a buyer.

I've typically taken that retail value I arrived at, priced the car at $100 or so less and sold the cars in less than 2-3 days. The last two were sold within 24 hours. Did I make all I could on the car? No. Did I get exactly what I was asking with very little in the way of negotiating on the part of the buyer? Yes. Was I able to move on to enjoying my new toy versus worrying about keeping the old toy clean and protected until I sold it? Yes.

The car is not an odd color.... Alot of cars are made in a similar color to this I don't even know why you would argue about a topic so petty....Grow up.

To the OP I've had much success with Autotrader and Craigslist, whatever the case never trade it in to the dealer.
