I wanted "RAGTOP Z" but it's taken in CA..."DRPTOP Z" is available but I think I'm gonna go with the default plates sent in the mail.

If I ever have the oppy to own a 100k+ sports car...then I'll go personalized...

Think it'll say..."BLING"

Personally, I like "ZUL8R"...but I talked myself out of them because they can get expensive...now that I have the Z though, I may have to look into it. Kind of fun...I like seeing personalized plates, particularly if they are interesting combinations and make you think a little to figure them out.

I was thinking about getting ZRDZTR - it's available in VA. I've got 1-2 months to think about it 'til my car arrives. On the other hand, the way I drive, I'm better off not have a plate that people remember

I tried to get "RAGTOP Z" and "TOPLESZ" plus 5 other combinations but all taken. I had to settled for "RAGZTOP" and just picked it up from DMV yesterday. Good luck in your search if you are still trying to go for a personalized plate.

Now there's a thinking man!

I just received our personalized plates, mounted them and then took off last weekend for a little run in our SoCal mountains. Never really thought about the easy identification of personalized plates. Whoops, now I realize I shouldn't have even bothered with them. So last Sunday, I'm out trying to run some of my favorite twisty roads(run, not race), and since the entire CA two lane road system is practically all divided with double yellow lines and there are only a few passing areas, you have to do an occasional illegal, but safe pass. I mean they have long straight sections that are DY all the way through. I guess they have to dumb this down to the lowest common denominator, so if a Yugo with 65HP couldn't make the pass, then no-one can. So occasionally you make a safe pass on the DY and you zip by giving a nice view to the Buick driver you just passed, your easily ID'ed plate to call the HP on his cell phone. I made it home without incident, but it just adds unnecessary drama to a nice little Sunday drive. No thanks, a normal plate with a bit of mud on it sounds better to me.

How about "IM DUMB"? An asterisk by the plate could explain why you voluntarily pay more, yearly, for an auto tag.

Actually, not too bright. From character to character, they may be hard to read, but I'm sure you're probably the only one sporting a tag like that.

Imagine the scene... a 350Z races by and a trooper takes up pursuit. The Z manages to start pulling away so the trooper gets on the radio... "Yeah, I've got a blue 350Z going down I16 south at over 100mph... .... ... no cannot make the tag out completely, but all eight characters are either B's or 8's... you see a tag like that and that's your guy..."
