If you haven't ordered, contact Reliable Nissan, Albuquerque, NM. As of yesterday they had four (4) on ther lot and not sure about show room.

I ordered one from Metro (on the auto mall S. Philia). They said 2-3 months. Hoping it's here in January.

Mine took 2 months. I think part of the issues is when the dealer makes their buy. It seems many dealers make purchases once a month. If you just miss out on that date you will lose nearly a month just waiting for the dealer to order the car.

One more thing...its worth the wait!

I ordered a Silverstone one in September. All the dealers around here said they won't be in until March. I found a SB one at a dealer so I cancelled the one ordered. Full refund $1000.00

I'm from the Maryland suburbs of DC, and most dealers were quoting 3 months. One dealer said he was pretty far into his allocation and was quoting 6-9 months. I ended up ordering on Nov. 4, and my dealer is projecting late January to some time in February 04. Most dealers around here have 1 - 2 on the lot, but I'm willing to sacrifice winter to get the one I want.

I was told by a dealer I left $1K with on 8/2/03 that it would be 6 to 8 weeks to get the specific car I ordered. 14 weeks later I found out that Cowles Nissan in Woodbridge, VA had never actually ordered the car but was hoping to get it allocated or swap allocations with another dealer. Everytime I called or stopped by they repeated the lie. Whenever I went there I always asked a salesman how long it would take to get and they always said 6-8 weeks.
I was referred to Green-Gifford in Norfolk, VA and they found my car and got it to me in about 3 weeks. They were absolutely great! It was a great experience and I highly recommend them. They found my car in Texas and sent a flat-bed to pick it up. I got it 11/29 with 10 miles on it.
I recommend strongly that you get your purchase order number from the dealer and call Nissan about the status of the order. That way you know the dealer used a precious order slot to actually order your car and is not just crossing his fingers on an allocation.

Default Just received confirmation

The way I understand it, is that the dealer doesn't officially place the order until his "allotment window" becomes available, seems to be around first of each month.

I sent in $1K deposit and ordered LS/BO Roadster from GSM at Ancira in San Antonio (thanks BTW to Mr. Potato Head for the recommendation) on Nov 11. But the dealer's allotment window wasn't until first of Dec. I received faxed confirmation yesterday that states "Ordered on 12/3/2003" with "ETA of 3/04". GSM said back in Nov, that I could expect to wait 3 months. Which in a way will probably be pretty accurate, but it might come in mid Feb. I hate the wait, but it ain't really convertible weather for the next couple of months anyway.

So for the next 3 months, I'll just be a troll and fantasize off you guy's posts.

My order finally became official on December 5th, but the salesperson couldn't give me an accurate estimate of when to expect delivery. All she could tell me was that she hoped it wouldn't take more than two months.

I wanted some hard answers so I took slappyclaus' advice and called Nissan Customer Service with my order number. It took a few days for the rep to track down my car, but she called today and told me that it was due to be delivered in March 2004. Even though I was hoping for February that's about what I expected. Ah hell, I'll be honest. I was hoping that the next delivery just happened to have my car on it, but I knew that wasn't reality.

I guess 3-4 months is about average now.

Mossy Nissan in San Diego has on average about 10 roadsters, but I figure if I'm spending 40k on a car, it's going to be exactly like I want it. Both of the roadsters with the navi I have seen are silver and I'm just not into it. Unfortunately, because I wanted the LS with a navi in it, I had to order it.

Being picky's a pain the rump, but settling is worse.

Default Hey SmoothDome

Same story as mine, but GSM at Ancira says even though ETA date shows March 04, the cars usually arrive the month before. Your dealer should be able to fax you copy of Confimation Order.

Gonna be a long winter.

Thanks. That's nice to know. Of course, now I just get to be extremely dissapointed if it's not here February 1st .

Here's to getting what we want! If we survive the wait, it'll be worth it.

Yep, kinda gets old just trolling the boards and living vicariously thru others......lol Already bought my Zaino, pads, mitts, radar dector and a bunch of other stuff while waiting. Oh well hopefully another 45-60 days and we'll have 'em. Not much winter here in Central Texas, so a convertible in Feb would be pretty sweet.

Yeah, no winter in San Diego either. In fact, it's beautiful outside right now. I was laughing my *** off about the pre-purchases. I've already started doing the same thing. Zaino, car cover, towels, etc. I'm even looking for a beater to drive when it does rain. This obsession is getting ridiculous.

First one to get theirs has to post pictures from the dealership.

You got it, Bud. I would think you would get yours first, west coast and all, but who knows.
I got the Touring LS w/BO, 18" wheels (which I will probably upgrade to Nismo's maybe in bronze at about 10,000 mi), all the mats, splash guards, but no NAV (thinking I reallly like Chazzg In Car PC, will probably be put in @March/April). My MSRP is $39,940 and dealer said he would cut $500 off. Not the best deal out there but OK.
Chit........gotta run to Autopia to buy some more stuff..... cya
