Roadster with GT wing
Anybody has or has seen a roadster with a GT wing (spoiler)?
I am interested in a low profile GT wing.
But not sure how it will look on a roadster Z.

Personally, I'd never run a wing like that unless the car is prepped for drifting or tracking. Sure, they look cool but only on the right kind of car.
I hate how rounded off the trunk is on the roadster. So I went with the Shine Auto version of the Central 20 wing. It breaks up the body lines that round off without being a focal point when looking at the car.
I'm sure you could pull it off but the rest of the car will need some serious attitude and prep. Keep us posted which route you take.

devils advocate here:
it could look sick as f*ck, esp on a smoothline top z and an aggressive but clean body kit.
but it's more likely you will look like a tool/ricer with a park bench on your trunk.

Not loving it, but you could always ask someone in the photoshop request to shop that onto your car if you take a pic of your car in the same position/angle.
Until I see a photochop, I think that I'd agree on the "only if caged" comments. Otherwise, I think that it may be too aggressive for the lines of the top of the car - both with top up and top down. For me, a cage would make that wing look more appropriate when the top is down on a dedicated track car - versus without a cage it may look like a member car for the "dem honda boyz" car club.
In for pics/photochop.

I thought that a spoiler was meant to affect body aerodynamics/airflow (reduce drag).
I thought that a wing was meant to create lift/downforce (for increased traction).

A vert doesn't need a wing, because the aerodynamics on one naturally create near-perfect downforce, and wings were invented to mimic the aerodynamics (downforce specifically) of a roadster when placed on a coupe... I.E. roadsters don't need wings...I don't see what you are confused about...
Putting a GT wing on a convertible is pointless, it just adds more weight. I guess If it's a hyper-performance car that'd be okay, but it won't come into play until after 80ish miles an hour (I forget the exact mph where wings actually make a difference.)

I see what you were confused about. I should have said 'wings were invented for coupes to emulate the aerodynamics that roadsters already have, and putting one on a roadster would be pointless unless it's for aesthetic appeal.'

On the roadster, the windshield itself is essentially a big wing - functionally/aerodynamically speaking. Not sure if the OP was looking for function or form, though.
OP was asking "not sure how it will look on a roadster" - which is question about form. Sorry if we went off topic here, OP. Not sure if you were only worried about the look or also considering function/performance.
