Default My Roadster in the Snow (pic!)

Here is a picture of my poor roadster in the snow. I got no garage so this is the best I can do.

I wonder how much weight the convertiblg top can support.

I'd get the snow off the top as soon as possible Andy.

must be cool to wake up to snow. i guess the novelty would wear off quickly though.

yeah, i dont know the weight of snow, but that looks quite heavy for the roof frame and canvas to support. like paul said, i would get that off as soon as possible.

Andy, sorry to see that, let us all know how that car cover holds up too the elements, snow, ect.

I would get that snow off the top also, I'm sure snow gets pretty heavy.

I can not tell you how much I hate this SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not tell you how many times I have been outside to 1-get snow off my car 2-shovel and 3-get snow off my car again because by the time I'm done, it has to be done again. I woke up this morning and barely saw my car. My car had an ice forcefield. which I got my hairdryer tyo melt down to get in so I could warm the car up. I HATE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in the process of cleaning out my garage as I'm writing this so I can just pull it in. I'm totally tired. SNOW SUCKS!!!

You said it brother!

It seems like the older I get the quicker the novelty wears off. These days I am sick of it by the third flake.

I did go out and clear off the car. The snow was pretty heavy but no harm done.

It is so windy the cover was rippling a bit. I actually put a thin layer of snow back on it to keep the cover from rubbing the paint.

The cover is working awesome. The snow slides right off of it. And it sure is nice knowing that all that sliding snow is not on my paint.

Keep the top dry, and it can support weight. Get it wet and put that kind of weight on it, and your cloth will stretch, it will sag between the supports.

Andy, glad I don't live by you buddy!

You know, Connecticut is sort of a mixed bag. Sometimes the snow looks so awesome it is worth it. Other times it just seems like you are under attack and hiding in a shelter.

But New England does have some perks. We get 4 distinct seasons! I feel sorry for anyone who lives where there is no Fall Foliage. When the entire state turns bright red, orange, and yellow there is nothing cooler.

Also, we got lots of hills, trees, streams, etc. I like the varied terrain and scenrey. I spent some time out in Wisconsin and I could never live in flat land. I felt like I was on the moon or something.

Of course, people who come from flat land to here feel claustrophobic. So I guess it's all a matter of what you get used to.

But I do like having all 4 seasons. I guess Winter is the price I pay for it.

Snow is to ski on, not to live in.

Andy, you are right.

I love Utah for all of those reasons. The mountains are right outside my backyard. The nice thing about Salt Lake is, the mountains are on all sides, with the Valley stretched out between them. The numerous canyons all around. We always take a ride up the canyons in the summer and fall.

We have moderate winters in the Salt Lake valley. Most is around 2-4" per storm.

Take Care

Ok, now I am jealous, we don't have any canyons.

Yeah the foliage is nice but it sucks when it turns brown and you have to rake it!!!!!!!!!!
