Default Convertible top Problem.

I have 07' ZR and replaced my original top to Haartz stay-fast canvas top at some local shop two weeks ago. Previously, I've never been any problems when top-up or top-down. Now, the problem appears. I can't top-down now. When I tried, it just stuck like most ppl have the problem on ZR. Moreover, when the top up, the rear part of the roof couldn't close perfectly like previously it did. It seem too tight now, and the mechanic said just wait until passing couple weeks, and the roof should get sunshine, then rear part will close perfectly.

However, if I can't top-down after couple weeks, should I go dealer to fix it?
where to fix this problem in best way?

(I don't understand... never have problem with the top, but it appears after replacing the part....)

sounds like the mechanic who replaced the top did something incorrect. You paid for it to be installed right, not wrong. Tell them to fix it before something worse happens.

I'm going to replace my top in a month or so. How much did you pay to have them put it on?

The first thing to check is the 2nd bow. There are elastic straps that position it as the top folds (basically pulls it downwards so the top can fold around it). It is the bow that is directly over your head when sitting in the car. You can assist the straps by pushing the bow as the top folds. Just push back on it when the top pops up into the vertical position. When I replaced my top it had trouble folding at first too. I let the car sit in the garage overnight with the top folded to help stretch the cloth.

Thanks for the reply.
I paid $550 for installing fee, and I ordered the top from some website.
