Default Picked up my Roadster

Put a deposit down on the 3rd of Jan, and picked it up yesterday. Dealer was able to trade for one within the state.

Here are some pictures...

Was a little diappointed that the front plate bracket was already mounted, but I can live with it since I got the car without the long wait.

Get some plugs, paint them super black and lose the front plate. I hate dealer tags, especially ones you never were consulted before they put it on. Some buyers made the dealer get them a new bumper, they were so outraged. This was on the first preordered cars last year, right after we started taking delivery.

Otherwise, nice car.

I took my car to the dealer and had them fill the holes and repaint that portion of the bumper. They did a fantastic job...looks like new...plus they gave me a free rental during the repair.

All I did was call my sales rep and complain. I told them that when they drilled the holes in the bumper they did a messy job. When I took the car in to the dealer I asked them to just fill the holes...

They said "no problem"

The coupe is the girlfriends car. Close enough. Had it since July 2003 and it only has ~3000 miles on it. It's her weekend car.

I still have the 300. She lives in the garage.

I got the roadster for $1k below sticker + free window tinting.

You can demand a new bumper. They did that to our new Maxima and I got a new bumper. There is a delivery checklist that they should have reviewed with you that clearly states that the front license mount, if not required in your state, is only to be installed after consulting with the buyer. In my opinion, the bumper is damaged and should be replaced. Imagine two holes like that anywhere else on the body of the car...you wouldn't have it and unless that dealer is cutting you a fat check for advertising...his tag, and the tag mount, should be history! Good luck...and congrats...beautiful car.

Congrats on your car...she's a another black beauty! I would be curious to see a picture of your car with the top and the windows up...just to see how it looks with the tinted windows. I too have a SB Roadster and am thinking of 20% tint. I haven't seen a black roadster tinted yet.

MAN!! How did I miss this thread?!

Awesome Rodel!

Now you can do the cruise in the Roadster and the S2k guys won't be able to pull their normal, "Yeah, but the top drops on mine."

I wish I could make the cruise this weekend.

Also, I am glad to hear that you kept the Z32. It is a really clean, tastefully upgraded car.

OK, I guess I'll have to resort to "Yeah, but mine is a lot faster." (j/k, I'm not the smack talking type).

Nice pair of Z's!

Man, that's a nice collection of black cars. You can't go wrong with any of those three!

They drilled holes in my bumber as well. I think these ones are pretty bad. I live in California though were I think the front plate is mandatory.
The scratch like appearance above the right hole, is were I had just had a Clear Bra fitted. I will be taking it back this weekend to see if they can fix it.
