Question Might not be a Grand Touring 'vert?

Hey gang, I'm new to this forum and appreciate your help.

I recently bought what I thought was a silver 2006 350Z Grand Touring convertible with 45K miles for $17K. It has heated frosted leather seats, Bose 6CD stereo with audio controls on the steering wheel and navigation. I've read that all GT models have the Rays wheels with Brembo brakes. Mine doesn't.

Was I mislead in the ad for the vehicle?

Couple pics and thanks again!

looks like you have a touring with navi. The Grand Touring's come with brembo brakes but not the rays, they keep the stock 18" rims (the current ones you have on the Z). So it looks like they marked up the car for being a GT and you bought it not doing the research to in fact make sure it was the correct trim before purchasing.

Still a clean Z. And it's a 6spd!

Either the last owner/dealership sold the brembos and rims or its not a GT.

Its supposed to be a staggered rim set. 18s in the front, 19s in the back.

Check the VIN.

I constantly see dealerships selling Z's that claim to be a GT and it be anything but! I've even seen a dealership sell a Base Z as a GT.

Only the GT coupes have the staggered ray rims, the GT convertible has the Stock 18"

Can a Nissan dealer confirm the trim with the VIN?

Spoke with a Nissan dealer today. Service and parts dept confirmed it is indeed a Touring and not a GT

Kelly Blue Book values an '06 GT Roadster in excellent condition and 45K miles at $23K. Good thing I only paid $17K...

I had the complete opposite when I bought mine. It was priced and labeled as an Enthusiast but it's a Touring.

I've heard so many theories about what makes a "Touring" and what makes a "Grand Touring"

I look for Ray wheels and Brembo brakes now. I've heard alternating theories on that one too. Love the car just the way that it is...

Every GT has Brembo's. Unless they were removed and sold.

Touring has everything a GT has except Brembo's and the Rays wheels. Some come with NAV some without tho.

Correct me if I'm wrong buy dont the GT's only come in like 3 colors?

You have a really nice Z. It's getting to where its somewhat difficult to tell the differences between each trim since there going on 8-10 years old and all have been owned and modded then traded in. You could maybe have a Base, with Touring add ons (you dont, just making a statement you clearly have a Touring).

I've wanted a Z for 23 years now and this one was so perfect, I couldn't wait any longer. Amazing car and I'm thrilled with it. Thanks again!
