Default Cloth Seats or Leather Seats

do you think cloth seats make a "convertible" look cheap? I have cloth but l get a lot of jokes from my friends. Not that big deal to me but wanted to know what other zr owners thought about it.

Hi and welcome as your first post ill be nice, to me yes it does look cheap but in the same sence if you aggressively drive your car ive noticed that the cloth seats hold you in your seat better than that of leather. So if your about looks you can get some leather seat inserts for a decent price.

Btw go ravens!!

Both can be a pain to deal with. But I will agree leather will give a car a more premium look sorta...

My '08 Z coupe has cloth, and it's the only way to go. Cooler in the Summer, and warmer in the Winter. Nice and grippy, too, for spirited driving, and after 50K miles, they still look like new. I'd only have a Z with cloth seats.

I've also got 3 Alfa Romeo Spider's, all with original-style leather or vinyl seats. My @ss has been scorched countless times, since I only drive them with the top down on nice sunny days, and the seats are slippery, and sweaty, too. But in those cars, cloth seats just wouldn't look "right".

I didnt know cloth was even an option in the roadster. Buy a set of leather.

Considering how warm the sun can get them, I think cloth is a more reasonable choice for a 'vert. The leather looks better. It's a matter of choice I suppose...

I wanted to be different being there are no young black men with a Nissan zr in Baltimore just all luxurious cars. I get pulled over more in this car than someone in a Bentley or anything. I had 0 points this time last year with mva now I have 9 all speeding tickets.

there's pros and cons to both. leather heats up quick and scratches easily but it's also spill proof and looks great.

Leather definitely will look nicer, but cloth has its benefits too. Doesn't get too hot, doesn't get too cold. Leather is very classy though.

Cloth for a sports car feel and ride. Leather for a sedan or Auto coupe!

Leather. The main benefit of cloth is that unmistakable rental car smell.

For those that are considering leather, I have a set of immaculate burnt orange ZR seats for sale. There's pics in the FS thread:
