Default Whining noise coming from engine

I recently had a new condenser placed in my 07Z. Now my car is making a whining sound coming from under the hood. As I accelerate, it gets louder and more high pitched.

Have you been able to pop the hood, while having someone lightly rev the engine, and isolate where the sound is coming from? If it just started after replacing the condenser, I would first start there, but the two most common things that will make a whining sound are the alternator and the condenser.

Maybe the belt is out of alignment?

I assume you mean compressor. Is it still under warranty? It could be a faulty compressor or the belt like Blu Hvn said. An aftermarket compressor may just sound different, but if it's free I would have it checked out.

Let me correct myself. It is the compressor for my A/C that was replaced. I lifted the hood to listen to the noise while the engine was running and i sounded like it was coming from the belt. I am no where close to being mechanically inclined.

Check your crank pulley, possible crack and check all your belts
