I'm lost for words. What do you plan on doing if you're out in it and you get caught in rain?

Some people just shouldn't own a Z. That tarp will ruin both the interior and the paint if left on the car. And, it really won't keep the interior dry.

The only time I ever used my top was once in a while just to see if it still worked. When it started needing help I put it down and left it down, about 1 1/2 years ago. I have 2 emergency tarps in the trunk in case I ever get caught in the rain but I never drive this car if there is a chance of rain and it lives in a nice garage. I can't really get into this car when the top is up so it stays down and I plan to remove the entire top mechanism to save weight . If it might rain we take my Mustang. My 04 just turned 33,000 miles and mostly looks like a new car. If you park outside this is not a good idea and should only be for emergencies. If you are going to do this a lot get something that won't scratch your paint, your car looks nice.

Nasty tear and glue residue.

I put forth a bit more effort on mine, but costs less than yours. lol $3 marine grade canvas and wife's sewing machine.

^^^ that is a much better example of a quick fix! A convertible is meant to be enjoyed with the top down, but I don't think I could ever chuck a tarp on my car every time I think it's going to rain. Emergencies, fine. Solution, HELL NO!
