Nicely done--I thought I would give you my opinion over here about the Nismo badge versus the Nismo forum. If you want to do it, that's cool it's your car so don't listen to the haters.

However, looking at your pics I can't help but think this would look really clean shaved--I know that goes against your Nismo theme but that could look really slick. As noted the V1 wing doesn't look quite right with the Nismo bumper because of the size--kinda like a girl with a dimensions of 30/26/48. Lastly, I really like the staggered Nismo wheels--yes I know they're expensive but if memory serves didn't the 07/08 Grand Touring have similar staggered wheels--different color and missing some dimples? If so those might be a bit cheaper.

All in all great job.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm considering the V 2 spoiler since the v3 spoiler is very large and would render the topless car out of balance I believe. Any other suggestions on spoiler? Keep in mind not all spoiler will fit the rear because I have a trunk and the coupe has a hatchback

If you're willing to pay a shop, almost any coupe spoiler will fit. From what I've heard from shops that do make them fit, it's fairly simple to do and only takes about 2 hours of work depending.

I've seen an EVO-R Blitz on a convertible a while ago on a car from the UK. Looked great!

But an amuse superleggera would look good too. I'd be really interested to see the type 3 on your car

Im seriously considering the V3 spoiler now since I have secretly loved that wing but just wasnt sure it would look good. I found a used black OEM V3 wing for $1700 (yikes!!!) although a new one is about $3000 (!!!!). Replicas can be had for about $400-700.

I would do my own work most likely, in order to get the spoiler to fit.

I found some OEM Nismo frame dampers (dampeners) made by Autech and they should be here in a week or so.

For that kind of money, just get an APR gt300 wing. So that it actually performs on the car. That would actually be cheaper than a used wing LOL. Maybe you can find a vendor that is local to you, and would let you try out a replica wing.

MCR makes a V3 spoiler. Try them.

The APR wing is too aggressive for my taste. My understanding is that the Nismo Z wing combined with the body kit is a functional aero kit. Id love to find an OEM wing for a good price but the only used one I can find is $1700 and its across the country. Im probably going to be getting a replica V3 wing.

The problem I see with any wing designed for the hatch is the mounting angle. The convertible's trunk lid doesn't have the same angle as the hatch so the hatch wings slope down when mounted on the convertible.

You need a way to get the wing to sit at the right angle, be secure, and not look like it's rigged up.

It's just the top blade. OP will have to get the V3 wing with base to use this.

I'll be damned. Never read the fine print. Good catch.

Any suggestion as to how to do this? My v1 wing fit great. I imagine trunk is flatter than the hatch so any spoiler made for a hatch would be tilted forward on roadster. My thought would be to build a fiberglass base which is built up in the front that puts the wing at the correct angle.

I did a quick MSPaint of a V3 spoiler on a roadster:

Yeah I actually think it would work, especially with the long nose. I think it would be better than the v1.

As for aero, I think that wing would probably just reduce lift. I don't think it would truly add downforce. Although, it would behave differently on the convertible... Not sure what it would do on a roadster

I think it balances out the rear bumper as well as the longer nose.

Here it is with rest of Nismo body kit:

Default Nismo V3 on roadster

I have been debating whether or not to leave my Nismo V1 rear spoiler on my roadster or change to a V3 which would match my OEM Nismo V3 body kit. Since I cant find any roadsters with a V3 spoiler, I had to use MSPaint to graft it on to see what it would look like.
