yeah I know. I said on the coupe it requires no mods...so dimensionally whatever you need to do to get the oem to work...you'll have to do it to the replica anyways.

Nobody has.

The v3 replica you could paint with plastidip or wrap with cf look a like. It would be a horrible decision to buy a 1600 spoiler modify it so it wouldn't fit a coupe anymore and then realize you hate it. Where as with the replica you could fit it and have it on there temporarily until you decide. No one said you had to paint it right off the get go.

Its your money. Me personally I'd never put a v3 on my car, let alone spend the money for the genuine thing but hey you're doing it your style. Just don't go overboard when you're not even sure you'll like it. Also for the gauge face you can get a custom one for like $150 bucks.

Thats a good point...buying an expensive spoiler and realizing I dont like it would not be good. It looks like paintin' weather is coming up here in so cal this weekend. Me thinks ill pick up a replica v3 locally and see how it is. Maybe ill prime it with black primer and if it doesnt look good, I can sell it to a coupe driver.

I found a place that will do a white gauge face overlay with a nismo logo for about $35. I like the look of the white face tach....not that there's anything wrong with black...

I found a replica Nismo V3 spoiler locally for under $200 and its primered black already. I think the difficulty in fitting this will be the edge, since the spoiler goes around the corner of the back edge of the car. My V1 spoiler goes right to the edge which does not affect the fit. I imagine Ill have to reshape it by building up the front half of the base. I will also have to fill in the holes from the V1. Ill keep you posted...

I'd love to see the pics of the underside and what you end up doing.

Bought the spoiler. It will need a good amount of block sanding and prepping. It cost well under $200...it has no 3rd brake light. It comes in two pieces. The middle brace is attached, unlike the oem wing.

Next step is to remove the v1 on the car and see if I can g e t it to fit

The spoiler is made of FRP which I think contributes to its 15 lbs. The OEM unit is about 10 lbs I believe.

Ill remove the V1 and test fit soon and post pics.

Oem is ABS plastic and weighs roughly 15lbs.

I knew the wing would be a bench. Wasn't expecting the primer to be green though

Good luck! Keep us posted.

The spoiler makes my work cut out for me. I have some alternative ideas that are a little bit out of the box but I'm going to think it through before I do anything with the spoiler.

In the meantime, the OEM nismo z suspension came in today:

The rest of the 06+ center console is here too complete with FOUR cupholders....yeehaa!!!
