Red is a little 'flat' compared to the all other colors which are all metal flake paint (even white). It's still a very neat looking color. If you want a really good deal on a new one, I can hook you up with my dealer who has a 6mt redline touring with floor mats and splash guards that he'll sell for 34,705 ($500 over invoice).

must have something to do with location. Here in Tampa I have seen mine (LS) a silver one, a blue one and a black one (with orange leather seats-- gorgeous). Seen a bunch of coupes, including a red one; actually one used red one on the lot, and another on the road a while later (could be the same one). I usually don't much like red cars, but for some reason I thought the red Z looked great--- I must just love Z's!

Lets take a closer look at the STICKER SHOCK! :icon11
I had to laugh at the $5 piece of rubber selling for $189, and the $5 can of scotchguard for $149, LOL!
$46K+ for an Enthusiaist Roadster. A Sucker is truly born every minute!
BTW, that particular roadster is still on the lot, has been for over 3 months, and they have spiced it up with 17" chrome wheels, and added another $2995. LMAO here!
Then after that the dealership hits you with an additional auto-mate charge of $395. Automate is on all the cars, they say!
Gotta love greedy car dealers!

Does that say $9,995 for market adjustement? I don't think Z's qualify as an extremely hard to get car. I know a lot of folks choose wait to get they exact car they want, but it's not like there is a waiting list.
I hope no one gets reeled in by this dealer.

Sorry for the bad grammar. I hit the submit button before I re-read my message. I'll try again:

Thats WAY to much for it!!!
I dont know whats going on in other parts of the country but here in MA I got my enthusiast roadster for $800 less than the sticker!!! This wasn't even a demo car either it only had 6 miles on it it still had the white tape on it from just arriving at the dealership. Some dealers in this country are serious scumbags for trying to sell the car for that premium!! I guess though if they keep it up it'll mean the value of mine will stay pretty good!

For me, it's a pretty easy choice. First, I won't pay over MSRP on general principles and second, I can't afford to, even if I had the disposible income!

The problem with red sports cars is that it is too easy for the police to pick you out when driving fast. I had a red 95 911 and only kept it for 18 months. I could be driving 10 mph under the speed limit and the police would shoot me with their instant on radar when I went by. I got more speeding tickets with that car than all of my other sports cars combined in the past 12 years. I think that the most striking of the 350ZR's are the SB/BO and LS/BO. I didn't get LS because it is another bright color that is too easy for the police to pick out, and SB would just take too much time keeping it clean and looking sharp.

It's funny. Before buying my LS, I've had red cars for the previous ten years. In that time I've received 2 tickets. One for doing 25 in a 20. Yeah. Really. The other for 47 in a 35 RIGHT after the speed limit changed from 45 to 35. I never got a ticket on a freeway with one of the "standout color" cars though.
Naturally, now that I'm airing this publically, I'll get 5 tickets in the next week.
